Great vertical rime climbing on Western Rib!

Another great day climbing on great snow and thick vertical rime ice on spectacular variations of Western Rib. The rime ice was so thick you could climb almost anywhere in places though trying to find any protection of worth through two feet of rime proved difficult - a video will follow!
Also more details and photos on Fi's blog here.
Today more folk were climbing the icier gully lines and steep ice falls including the Mirror Direct, Fluted Buttress Direct and Red Gully.
Apart from the always busy Fingers Ridge and Hidden Chimney there were very few on the well rimed buttress routes, apart from this amazing ascent of the Steeple on Shelterstone, and it seemed quieter than yesterday...!
